Profile picture is me sitting on a couch, photo taken from slightly above. You see my light pink tousled hair, my face is more in profile, not much visible. I wear huge black headphones, black clothes. Another pair of headphones is around my neck, in front of me in the couch is a Deluge.

If a trans person comes out to you and is gracious enough to offer to answer questions, ask them an unexpected source of joy they’ve found in transition and watch their eyes light up.

The Autotune effect is being looked down upon and the only point in this debate that to me doesn't feel solely like elitist gatekeeping, is the issue with omnipresent pitch-correction posing unrealistic expectations on singers.

Aside from that the whole debate is useless because Autotune (and the likes) is just an artistic tool like reverb, distortion, Vocoders etc.

But! What's the queer perspective? Are there (I bet there are) people with voice dysphoria using it to create music? Is it helping marginalized people who are not professional singers to express themselves? Isn't the whole idea of creating an artificial version of yourself very queer?

"Overload" by Sugarbabes is still an amazing song.
Boyfriend is composing. Composing! Like actual music! Putting notes. On lines. With enigmatic symbols around them! What is this magick?!

Getting slowly better. Not so slow actually, considering how I felt on Friday. Coughing is still quite present but not all the time, that's nice. And I feel like doing things, yay! Which makes me restless. Which is a sign of convalescence.

Not going to have much of the heavily needed social interactions for the next days. That's bad for my mental health.
And I miss doing my makeup and dressing creatively. That's also bad.

But at least I feel better and can do some creative projects.

I'm enjoying mastodon so far but wow, all the comments about how white it is are extremely right. Almost all the other trans folks I've found have been white, and I know that isn't representative of the real world or even likely mastodon as a whole. I'd love to hear more from trans and queer POC (and POC all up, I've just been connecting with a LOT of trans folks).

Can anyone boost this to help me find more voices to listen to? Or recommend some hashtags? I don't even know how best to tag this.

I want to paint two instruments: an e-bass (white coat on wood, I guess) and a synthesizer (white plastic surface).

What kind of paint/polish/coat can I use? I need various shades of green.

Anything I need to keep in mind? I'm not aming for a super professional look.

Advice and boost appreciated.

Next time you read 'obesity causes x' try to read 'chronic stress causes x' and see if it'll still make sense.

My guess is that it will make more sense. A body shape doesn't cause a lot of issues, but chronic stress might. Keep in mind that in the current culture, everybody with an obese body type is subjected to stigma and prejedice, from strangers, family members, (potential) employers, landlords, doctors, etc. Often also from themselves as well.
