After internal deliberation, the Mlem Team has decided to remove the Common Clause license from the Mlem App. It is now under the GPL 3.0 with the App Store addendum required for publishing and distribution on Apple's App Store.

We’ve got another MASSIVE update for you all, packed with new features, bug fixes, interface tweaks, quality-of-life improvements, and other surprises! We’ve all worked very hard over the last week to get this out to you before the July 4th holiday here in the USA so you can enjoy the app this week while the Team takes a day or two off! We’re also getting very close to our 1.0 App Store submission milestone, so keep an eye out for that announcement soon! NEW ADDITIONS - Improved Profile tab with swipe functionality and sort options - Inbox tab - scroll and swipe through your comment replies, DMs, and mentions, together or sorted by type! - Reply to DMs - New Post composition dialog! - New, sleek post and comment layout featuring unified instance and user tags for tidy information display, even displaying using full instance info. - Custom Icons! - 13 gorgeous, new custom icons from clay/s who designed our original icon! choose your favorite from the Settings tab! - Added ability to block communities - Fixed “Share” button to communities - Proper link handling to communities - Added button to profile to see which communities a user moderates - Added delete button to post and comment menus - Updated downvote buttons to be invisible if the instance disables downvoting - Greatly improved accessibility (VoiceOver) - Filter keywords - Other quality of life enhancements BUG FIXES - Improved image handling in posts and descriptions text - NSFW images in description text are now blurred - Fixed issue where link posts image previews were overdrawing KNOWN ISSUES - Tapping Mastodon username links opens the user in Profile tab and cannot be escaped in an infinite loop - Some communities fail to load on rare occasions - Large posts will prevent scrolling by using left and right gestures with VoiceOver - Unable to navigate to a community from a post with VoiceOver - Can’t add accounts with the same username on different instances in some cases, works ok in others MORE TO COME - Full a11y compliance which should work perfectly with iOS’s Accessibility functionality like Guided Access and Screen Reader coming. Each build comes with increased functionality! - Long-press actions for the Mlem app icon on the Home Screen - Translate button which works throughout Mlem - Fullscreen image viewer - New & improved fullscreen image viewer - Inbox notifications - Reporting function to report posts & comments to mods/admins Please keep in mind that this is beta software.
