@algoartiste I use Atom for building websites. I teach and am not allowed to install unapproved programs on the computers so I use Markdown Preview Enhanced package for Atom at school. It works pretty well, but isn't the same as Typora. Since all my files are in the cloud, I can access them easily.

Plus, I'm a css junkie and I love tweaking visuals. I have several modded versions of Typora themes and have a few self-designed ones I'm tinkering on.

@Pedro i've been running into the same frustrations with different note apps and their limitations. i love #markdown for writing content because i can easily embed formatting. i've fallen in love with #typora for many many reasons. i'm using #1writer on my ipad and #writebox for when i'm on a different computer. it is all synced through #dropbox. so far this is better than any single app or ecosystem that i've found.

i love this program. just wanted to share that with everyone.

Typora — simple yet powerful Markdown reader.

@nobody @garrett same with me. i keep it around and try it out now and then, but never for very long. not sure why other than it feels slow and like there's something not quite functional about it. perpetually has rough edges

@garrett my personal preference is <strong><em>Thing</em></strong>. no reason why i do, but i'm pretty consistent.

when writing content, i use #markdown in #typora. you can copy as html and it also chooses <strong> on the outside. not that i need validation from some app, but i like that it chooses what i choose.

@dcharles525 hard to tell without context. both are fine on their own, but need to see the rest of the design to see which fits better.
