Dipping my toe back into mainstream media for coverage of the trash strike. Apparently the dumpster at the end of the block is no longer 12 feet tall. My street is remarkably clean with almost everybody toting their trash to the dumpster. Many people drag trashcans up the street some use wagons.

Philly City workers strike garbage sit rep:

Options include not making trash, hoarding it in our yard, piling it on the sidewalk or walking our trash 4 blocks to a giant tall dumpster that’s like 12 feet tall that you have to really hurl your trash to get it in.

Just giving up on recycling til the strike breaks. I support our sanitation workers and 31 but hope it doesn’t last long.
