I like public health, cats, crochet, superheroes, Star Wars, vegetables. Bi/queer, genderqueer (they/them). Jewish, chronically ill, generally confused.
Many people translate it as compassion, and that's what the omer counter I've been using does, but I can't quite separate compassion from lovingkindness (chesed) and I know they differ somehow? probably involving miracles and/or beauty and/or balance. and/or integration. hrmph.

Omer count update: we are halfway through the tiferet week and neither my omer counting buddy nor i actually get what tiferet is. But that's cool! apparently nobody else does either.

Rabbi Wikipedia says "It has the common association of 'Spirituality', 'Balance', 'Integration', 'Beauty', 'Miracles', and 'Compassion'," which doesn't exactly narrow it down.

#jewish masto, plz help (also, did we pick a hashtag? if we did i wasn't here that day)

@cypnk bees are just midwesterners going "ope!" every two minutes in a busy place
Honeybees let out a ‘whoop’ when they bump into each other

A vibrational pulse that was thought to be a “stop” signal between bees may actually be a startled response when they collide

do i fashion today or do i continue working from pajam? I am strongly considering continuing my pajama lifestyle a couple more hours, but at that point the clothes i throw on will probably be a t-shirt and jeans.

Why did 🍵 not emoji there?? strange.

Anyway, it's Earl Grey #teatoday. What are you drinking?

with the help of :tea:, the fog has cleared and i can do things again! Gonna work on Ye Olde Yntersectionell Trans Healthe Workeshoppe again, writing a bio for myself (ughhhhh), fleshing out discussion prompts and etc.

But don’t Jews deserve a homeland? Actually, I feel that no human group deserves a “homeland” in the usual sense of the word…. I am not a Zionist, then, because I don’t believe in nations, and Zionism merely sets up one more nation to trouble the world.”
