@jvschrag Perhaps. I don’t have any answers but it seems to me that there will be a cultural shift how we perceive digital media. It may no longer be able to serve the same purpose as before. Good or bad, I don’t know. It’s different. But it’s definitively going to be harder to say something for sure is real. It will take something extra. Like trust maybe.
@jvschrag I think we’re already at a place where we by default don’t think anything is real anymore. My kids are all like: surely it’s AI
Standing up to bullies is hard in current political environment. It warms my heart to see PSF standing up to bullies. They will face retribution no doubt from the current mob in power. Put your money where your mouth is! Support the foundation. It takes only 60K people to make the minimum contribution to makeup for the 1.5 million they lost out! Come on then, let's do this. @ThePSF #Python
@davidallengreen Well, let me explain; mastodon has always been like that…

I fucking despise that. The improbability, as far as we know, of being conscious and capable of developing ethical frameworks is what we should embrace instead. It’s beautiful and hopeless and makes our experience to stand out. And in a 100% circular argument, it’s the correct thing to do
@utf_7 @thomasfuchs Medicine. Energy. Advanced research. Space exploration. Of course there is a vast amount of potential use cases. You only have to think about what can benefit the world and how those things really work. What’s their strengths and weaknesses. It’s like saying a hammer is bad because it damages the screws.

Greta Thunberg Speaks from Aid Ship Heading to Gaza Despite Israeli Threats: It’s My Moral Obligation

As Gaza faces over three months of Israeli blockade, a group of 12 activists is sailing to Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid. The Madleen ship was launched by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and initially planned to sail from Malta last month, but the group’s ship was damaged in a drone attack. The new mission includes the renowned Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, who speaks with Democracy Now! live from the Madleen. “We deem the risk of silence and the risk of inaction to be so much more deadly than this mission,” says Thunberg.

Full transparency, we prefer leaders who actually read the bill before voting on it.
