"La justice turque a engagé des poursuites contre 35 responsables israéliens, dont le Premier ministre Benjamin Netanyahou, à la suite de l’interception d’un convoi maritime à destination de Gaza en octobre dernier. Le parquet d’Istanbul les accuse d’implication dans une opération militaire contre des navires civils en eaux internationales.

Parmi les personnes visées figurent plusieurs figures de premier plan de l’appareil politique et sécuritaire israélien, dont le ministre de la Défense Israel Katz, l’ancien ministre Yoav Gallant, le ministre de la Sécurité nationale Itamar Ben Gvir, ainsi que des responsables militaires et du renseignement, dont l’ancien chef du Mossad Yossi Cohen.

Selon l’acte d’accusation, les procureurs turcs requièrent des peines allant jusqu’à la réclusion à perpétuité, assorties de durées cumulées pouvant atteindre plusieurs milliers d’années de prison. Ces poursuites s’appuient sur l’intervention de la marine israélienne contre le convoi, qui comprenait une quarantaine de navires et plusieurs centaines de participants.

Lors de cette opération, environ 450 personnes ont été arrêtées, parmi lesquelles des ressortissants turcs et la militante suédoise #GretaThunberg. Elles ont ensuite été expulsées d’Israël."
