Basically here is adequate meme:

Doesn’t mean the AIM alliance afiliation didn’t actually make it talk actual Appletalk though, it was available in various guises for IBM AIX (the OS this (mostly) ran) over the years.

Oooooh some quality PowerPC hardware. Love to see it. The inclusion of AppleTalk is an interesting one. I wonder if it is actually Appletalk or they just used a mini-DIN serial connectpr ala Apple and Sun.

It was made by Tadpole who also made SPARC powered laptops tgat ran Solaris, so the precedent was there for the mini-DIN serial port.

This weekends projects:

- 3D Print some parts by the excellent @gutbomb to attempt fitting my BlueSCSI v2 into the 5.25” bay of my Quadra 650. It won’t look perfect but it’ll allow me to access the SD Card with the lid in place.

Not sure if I want to tackle using @RonsCompVids 3D scan of the Q650 optical drive cover quite yet. My Fusion foo isn’t quite up to it yet.

- Get my newly-acquired Power Mac G4 Quicksilver setup with a CPU Upgrade and a SSD or SD to IDE solution. Not sure which yet.

Cloudflare introduces pay-per-crawl for AI bots https://blog.cloudflare.com/introducing-pay-per-crawl/

We don't need another technical solution to this madness. We need legislation that blocks all batshit crazy AI companies like OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, and others from stealing from artists & writers (I'm mean they are using pirated books and getting away with it, so what makes you think they will pay for that blog post or art?). This is like putting a Band-Aid on the problem. They stole everything, and got away with it.

Introducing Pay per crawl- enabling content owners to charge AI crawlers for access

Pay per crawl is a new feature to allow content creators to charge AI crawlers for access to their content.
