@elkraneo thanks a lot! Very appreciated
@elkraneo can you please share the video file of the aquarium scene? Would love to see it in 3D on my headset.
@ellenich i get that feeling too, maybe because because the 3d effect is more obvious at short distance?
@stroughtonsmith yeah okay that makes sense.
@stroughtonsmith but they say it will be available on apple com or apple stores, doesn't that imply it won't be exclusive to their brick stores?
@christianselig it seems like they just want most ios devs to port thier 2D apps to visionOS for launch while they hand pick devs who can get a devkit to build the interesting AR/VR stuff for launch...everyone else will have to wait and get a vidion pro when it's released then continue their project.

@stroughtonsmith samsung is already partnering with google on a headset that directly competes with the vision pro.

Whatever comes of this partnership will be to Apple Vision what android is to ios now, Google providing the software stack and samsung (and other OEMs) building hardware on top of that.

Meta is trying to be both Apple and Google in the spatial computing space but they are doing a poor job in mimicking both, and thier gaming legacy may reduce them to being a gaming console maker.

@stroughtonsmith @chockenberry that's a very shortsighted framing...i mean Wow!
@younata thank you Rachel for at least trying do something that isn't just a floating 2D ipad app.

@stroughtonsmith @octothorpe there a few apps and games thay do locomotion using just hand gestures, Myst for example on the quest can be played entirely using hands, even smooth locomotion is enable by a certain hand gesture.

And if we're talking about teleportation then jand gesture are more than good enough.
