Jeff MossThe US Government missed an opportunity to talk about an open and accessible internet during the #TikTok debate.
Make it about US and western platforms not being able to access the Chinese market, but the Chinese platforms being to access the Western ones.
Market access, market power, data collection, monetisation, etc. So many opportunities to push reform and transparency in these spaces and instead all the oxygen is sucked out of the room being fixated on a single company.
Maybe it will take the NEXT generation of legislators to get it.

It’s not just NPR that’s leaving Twitter. It also appears many affiliate stations and programs have stopped posting as well. All of Minnesota Public Radio’s accounts including MPR News and The Current are dormant.
Substack Notes should integrate with ActivityPub and the fediverse.
