Sad & Happier that I’m outta the hellsite.
A shitpost that's been brewing in my head for a while now
I want one change in WatchOS this year. No new stuff, just give me some bug fixes and the ability to make the red light first in the "flashlight" app. I never need that disco mode thing in the middle either but at least let me rearrange them.

@daringfireball surely the point you make on Tim Cook meeting with and making an executive change to fix Siri has already been evidenced through the installation of Kim Vorath about a month ago?

Apple makes a change to its AI team and plans Siri upgrades

Apple’s Kim Vorrath, who helped get Vision Pro software out the door, has been brought over to Apple’s AI division, Bloomberg reports.

Before watching "Migrate your app to Swift 6," I decided to go back and watch "Swift concurrency: Update a sample app" from WWDC21. I actually don't remember seeing it before.

Watching @airspeedswift work in real time and talk you through real issues in a real app is such a great format. Ben takes an app that's pretty good, and feels like something you would have written and shipped, and calmly shows you how to make it better with our new tools, and finds some bugs in the process. So good.

@florianalbrecht shoulda been one considering there’s no change in strategy. Just faster, thinner and a couple of incremental features!
I couldn’t afford the Apple Vision Pro, so I got the Apple Vision Junior instead.
This cannot be posted too many times.

This year, I've done something differently with the review:

I've added a brand new chapter all about Apple's efforts in system Intelligence.

Apple is doing a lot of work with on-device machine learning and artificial intelligence that benefits millions of people at scale.

It's time we start giving those features the focus they deserve.

In the year when the vision is elsewhere, what do you get the OS that has everything?

@jamesthomson web is finally working for me. App is still getting ready.
