When you tell me to just not implement age declaration, do you understand you’re asking me to risk thousands of dollars in fines? Which means realistically the only way for me to not follow the law is to close my business and stop making elementary OS. Do you think it makes sense for me to decide to have no income right now in the middle of massive tech layoffs in a purely symbolic act of protest? Do you really fully understand this is what you’re asking of me?

Researchers from Cornell University have developed what they call "the Corporate Bullshit Receptivity Scale," a tool designed to measure how impressed people are by business school-style jargon that sounds strategic but says very little.

The findings, described in a recent study, suggest that employees who rate this sort of language as insightful are more likely to struggle with analytical thinking and workplace decision-making.

@danirabbit the ✨ is so sad to me. It was one of my favorite things to work into icons and designs to signify “new shiny shiny” or “such wow”. And mesh gradients while not super supported as svg were pretty and fun when they could be used.

I get around 3-4 spam calls a day that all say roughly the same thing. I’m getting real sick of this shit. I need to nuke my cell number from space and start over. I block and report the number as spam every time and it doesn’t seem to do anything. It’s a different number every time.
