So I'm at a #university that claims that #AI must be integrated into *everything*.

It is literally mandatory.

Yet, the AI plans that they give us access to are toys. We just got access to Google's #NotebookLM and #Gemini but the level of access is the same as for non-paying users.

Which means you can ask it questions like some ancient Greek oracle, but can't use it for serious work or evaluate its quality.

So we've decided to train #dependence in our #students. smh

What the actual hell is wrong with folks and their need for trendy bullshit? I thought the dumb-ass Stanley cup craze was bad enough last year... but then Starbucks did the glass bear-ista cup, drastically having FAR TOO LITTLE in stock and folks lost their minds...

I hadn't heard a thing about this bear cup til I stumbled on some poster's random comment on a vid about the stupid stanley cups (dunno how it showed up, but here we are). But damn... Starbucks is circling the drain the more they do stunts like this (and as someone who used to like being at Starbucks, the only folks I feel bad for there are the STORE EMPLOYEES. Corporate can go to hell.):
