Hot take: reassembling 80 keycaps in a heat wave was a choice. #mechanicalkeyboard

A misfiring Microsoft Copilot key accidentally launched a mechanical keyboard obsession that ended with eyeing a $200 upgrade after buying an $80 board specifically to avoid spending real money.

Down the Keyboard Rabbit Hole

A job switch in January, a Microsoft Copilot key, and a YouTube rabbit hole led me to buy an iQunix A80 secondhand to test if I'm a mechanical keyboard person. Verdict still pending.

When AI agents become your developers main collaborators, your internal tooling quality matters twice as much. Audit your DX as if an agent has to navigate it alone.

Agent experience is the new developer experience

Developer experience is giving way to agent experience: context, deterministic environments, verification, and safety for reliable AI coding workflows.

@igwigg the practical test are there to test you with the tooling you use regularly just in shorter time. AI wont help you in any case but it is usefull to if you have to read 2 - 3 pages of an news article to find out the relevant information for OSINT tasks. Or dealing with a ton of data by quickly writing you a python script to extract the results you are looking for. As there is no time to write these scripts by yourself.

@igwigg absolutely, skim over every Task and then do the easy one first.
They increased the difficulty of the task due to ChatGPT etc. so the made it harder and more difficult to ues theese. As example, the PDF‘s do contain images instead of text, so GPT has more trouble to read it and so on.

Just take screenshots and upload them 😉

@igwigg yes i guess there are just two or three power sockets per table so an extension will be helpfull. Also i had a backup laptop ready in case mine would fail. The biggest issue is the time, as there is not enough to complete all practical test.

@igwigg not really, at least it wasn’t on my exam. I hade a Widescreen and some even brought ultrawides. There was plenty of space. But bring at least a extra power plug extension as they are limited.

There was a post of the latest exams where you can see the tables:

@igwigg wish you the best. And honestly time will fly during the exam. At least that was what i experienced. The month before my exam i was preparing every evening 😅

Anthropic spent a year lobbying for government power to pull dangerous AI models, then got their own model yanked over a jailbreak that amounts to asking it to read code and fix bugs.

https://notes.hauri.dev/the-government-pulled-fable-5/

The government pulled Fable 5

Anthropic says the jailbreak evidence "essentially consists of asking the model to read a specific codebase and fix any software flaws." GPT-5.5 does the same thing. And Anthropic spent the last year asking for exactly this kind of government authority.

@dasrecht no worries, AI doesn’t care and will multiply your mess for you 😉
