i may or may not have 67 hours overtime...
@igwigg does not sound healthy. Take care and take some time off!
@mhauri will do before the examn!
@igwigg what is the date of the exam?
@mhauri 28.10. i wish it was already over
@igwigg wish you the best. And honestly time will fly during the exam. At least that was what i experienced. The month before my exam i was preparing every evening 😅
@mhauri yeah this is what will happen for me too!
is it really like this that the desk you are working on is around 1m wide? so you are not able to use an ultrawide screen? let's be honest working on a laptop screen and a small one is not really how i deal with incidents!

@igwigg not really, at least it wasn’t on my exam. I hade a Widescreen and some even brought ultrawides. There was plenty of space. But bring at least a extra power plug extension as they are limited.

There was a post of the latest exams where you can see the tables:

@mhauri oooh... okay, then i should be able to take my 48" with me... at least... maybe... haven't decided yet good to know about the powerplug! thanks!
@igwigg yes i guess there are just two or three power sockets per table so an extension will be helpfull. Also i had a backup laptop ready in case mine would fail. The biggest issue is the time, as there is not enough to complete all practical test.
@mhauri oh shit... so it's better to first do the "easy" things and then concentrate on the rest...

@igwigg absolutely, skim over every Task and then do the easy one first.
They increased the difficulty of the task due to ChatGPT etc. so the made it harder and more difficult to ues theese. As example, the PDF‘s do contain images instead of text, so GPT has more trouble to read it and so on.

Just take screenshots and upload them 😉

@mhauri i planned not to use AI... but if they made it harder just because of AI, i probably have to? >.<
@igwigg the practical test are there to test you with the tooling you use regularly just in shorter time. AI wont help you in any case but it is usefull to if you have to read 2 - 3 pages of an news article to find out the relevant information for OSINT tasks. Or dealing with a ton of data by quickly writing you a python script to extract the results you are looking for. As there is no time to write these scripts by yourself.
