The attack line that "#conservatives are #weird" is making all the right(wing?) people angry and I love it.

Someone smarter than me once said conservatives hate being reminded that their capture of institutions & wealth don't translate to capturing culture.

@johnlogic - they have those who have a passion about ARES - you can't be very high up the command structure and not be an arrl member.. (but you don't need a title to serve!) but it helps to have a place in the organization.

@ad6dm it is way overkill - any screen would do ... I've heard that there are firmware images that allow Mestastic MESSAGING (peer to peer) which would take advantage of keyboard and screen but it's behind a paywall.

@DJ5CW - thank you for your service to the hobby - never easy when the limited bandwidth must be prioritized - my dad is a CW guy but uses digital occasionally - I use digital with some phone. 73

@motoridersd I picked up a windows 7 vintage at Hunstville Hamfest - some of my snob friends told me it wouldn't run windows 10 - my response is who would want to ? I tried several linux distro's but went back to Debian via rasbian for PC. It will run FLdigi and POTUS software and the linux version of winlink (Pat I/O) - the SSD really makes it perform.. and Its been out in the rain when I got hit with a pop up shower - 12 volt adapter for the laptop and an external monitor - 12 Vdc station
