For those who recall the typing pool era, one spent hours crafting clear and concise communications. For me, because I was scared stiff of going back with corrections! The WP era has fuelled the explosion of words. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Who knows what AI will bring. Our only hope is page limits. 10 for a committee report, 50 for a local plan?! And no cheating by using miniscule font sizes!
"Brexit regret has reached record levels. Only 9% of Britons now consider Brexit more of a success than a failure." ... These are devastating numbers for the Brexit camp, and they DEMAND a response from all sensible MPs.

I think Dan Rainey is right, if we are to build more (and better) #housing, then the two bed #terracehouse is an excellent model for this expansion.

These houses remain attractive to everyone as early homes, except #builders who are obsessed with building detached houses with more bedrooms.

Of course, the small/medium sized terrace was a staple of #socialhousing & so their relative decline in house building is not surprising, but the revival of this size dwelling, would be beneficial IMO.

@ChrisMayLA6 Not just as ‘early’ homes. Boomers need somewhere to downsize into but this constant building of 4 bedroom/3 bathroom houses isn’t helping.

One party saying secure the highest sustained growth in the G7, the other to grow the economy - similar noises, similar pathways. Fundamentally, variations on trickle down economics. Where is the new political thinking? To enhance wellbeing and financial security - in the context of natural resource protection and climate change? Where is this debate on a political level?
The stock market is failing according to the CBI. So why don’t we just let it go?

I posted this on Twitter this morning: https://twitter.com/RichardJMurphy/status/1942861045426516103 My point is serious. The CBI is saying that the situation with regard to the UK stock exchange is getting desperate, because it is losing out to overseas markets and not attracting sufficient business. The question that needs to be asked is, why is that?...

The myth of 'Affordable' housing and how it houses the middle class. Housing Associations are losing their original purpose of providing decent warm self contained housing for the working class.
