Regarding the visual glitches @siracusa encountered on Tahoe with Reduce Transparency - I am seeing similar issues on iPadOS 26, also with Reduce Transparency (iPad 9) - see attached. And screen recording did not capture it, hence the handheld iPhone shakycam…
Installed the first iPadOS 26 developer beta on my iPad 9th generation. Great potential with the multitasking, and as slow and glitchy as I’d expect from an early beta. I’m seeing this glitch in particular every time a window with toolbar icons is restored to the foreground. I can’t imagine this is happening on all devices - I’ll bet older more resource-constrained iPads are most likely to experience it. Anyone else see this? (Feedback filed…) @caseyliss

After 4 years with Oracle, I find myself free for new work. I met a lot of good people there, but am excited about the possibility of a new path. I’m scared in the short term, but optimistic…

🌼 Hey Mastodon! 🌼

After four years at Oracle, I've decided to embark on a new adventure and am currently seeking new opportunities in the tech world. 🚀

I'm especially on the lookout for roles in Developer Relations/Advocacy or Senior Technical Writing/Docs Management. With two decades as an independent developer and extensive experience in developer relations, I’m passionate about connecting with the developer community and bridging the gap between users and products.

Here’s a bit more about what I bring to the table:

⚙️ Developer Relations/Advocate: I understand the developer mindset and have built strong relationships over the years.
✏️ Senior Technical Writer/Docs Manager: I create clear and insightful documentation, drawing from my extensive writing background, including blogging and working with high-profile publications.

In addition to my writing/advocacy experience, I’m well-versed in programming languages like Ruby, Objective-C, and JavaScript, and I also dabble in Swift and Python. My web development journey spans over 30 years, keeping my skills in HTML and CSS sharp.

If you have any leads, advice, or just want to connect, please drop me a message! I’d love to hear from you. Your support means the world to me as I embark on this new chapter. 🧑‍💻💖

Thanks for reading!

@_Davidsmith Hey, there - new version looks great! Quick question: when making a photo widget and selecting an image from Photos, how do I confirm my selection? Not seeing any way to do so, and swiping the photo picker back down after selecting a photo churns a bit and then fails. I imagine I’m missing something obvious…

@KamalaHarrisWin

They still have Kennedy in there with 4%… make of that what you will; Alaska could actually be a toss up right now is for that. In the grand scheme of things, the electoral college won’t matter much but I’m looking at this more towards the sentiment of the people. How many people in other states are flipping like this?
