the outer teacher is a ship

we cross the great waters
a journey so startlingly
timeless

they rest still within us
those waters
at times, while samba-singing across another divide

the ground has never been solid
yet still
i’ve always been

and me and the ocean and my teacher
all chill on a thursday afternoon

naturally

i wish this poem were a balloon
and that baloon’s weren’t made of plastic

Playing guitar now hurts me wee arms/fingers but certainly gives a vibe.

i must thank my trumpet playing friend who, when I left a band for health reasons, reminded me that I can still sing.

I kinda’ discounted that at the time, because I was dissapointed not to continue playing instruments at a high level, but it proved true.

Songs starts in your mind and singing is just about the best thing we can do for our hearts!
