@timmc @flyyn we are working on updating right now. I will give you an update when it's complete. Sorry for the delay!
@tutwilly I can check if that's a user we blocked or something. I agree it's not a great system. It definitely doesn't work well as a general purpose social network.
@tutwilly @flyyn in terms of total account number, I believe there may be that on the about page? As for new accounts, currently no - keep your eyes peeled for an announcement in the near future about all that.
@crschmidt there's still possibly a path forward - but it will look different, organizationally, than it does today
@crschmidt we should have an announcement out soon - basically, we don't believe that the current organizational structure is sufficient to run an equitable, safe, and sustainable server. We're just working on getting the message sent out to everyone at the same time so we don't miss anyone.
@ariherzog thanks!

While we’re all preparing for the #Boston storm, please remember that our unhoused neighbors can be caught off guard by storms, and may not have easy access to shelter. If you see someone who may need assistance, please call 9-1-1 or offer help.

Genuinely perplexed by this column. Wu is meeting with business people and her staff is talking to developers. But that’s not enough? Why should the mayor be required to pretend she’s friends with rich guys who have business interests in the city? Unfortunate take. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2022/12/22/business/all-i-want-christmas-is-michelle-wu-business-community-get-along/
All I want for Christmas is for Michelle Wu and the business community to get along

While Wu believes in empowering her cabinet members, business honchos don’t want proximity to power. They want a direct line.

we need to stop thinking about online social as something that just needs a tweak. instead we need to be trying/experimenting with radical alternatives, platforms that almost don't qualify as social media within current conceptions of the sector, sites and apps that a16z, etc would never back because they know there's no chance they'll lead to the hypergrowth they seek
@christosilvia thank you!
