Continuously curious. Love learning. Mountains magnet-ed. Bathroom singer. (Garba) Dancer. Hardly hilarious. Freedom fanatic. Escaping via endurance cycling & running. Dopamine dependent. Overly opinionated. Geek (duh!)

Ok. So I wanted to switch from systemd-homed user (was giving me weird problems on first login on my @gentoo ) to normal one keeping same username. Thought I would just remove user using homectl, create regular user with same username, `chown -R` homedir. Should be easy.

Ran `homectl remove <user>` & booom without any WARNINGS or CONFIRMATIONS, my homedir data vanished in blink of an eye.

@pid_eins please consider adding warning to that command for retards like me

it's learning at a geometric rate

I've been procrastinating upgrading this mastodon instance since 4 months. It was just too much of mental burden to build custom image just to increase character limit from 500 to infinite.

Switched to official container images. Had some trouble upgrading after 4 months but it was successful.

I conquered myself & "just did it".

On other note, I've been training hard to achieve 2:59:59 marathon goal.

Lot more to say but 500 char limit :(

Chess hasn’t been updated in almost 200 years and it’s obvious the devs have abandoned it. The greedy creators took your money and laughed all the way to the bank.

I remember back in 705 AD when chess was fun. Then they started adding stupid features no one wanted like “castling” and “en passant” instead of listening to player feedback and fixing game-breaking bugs. I’ve been complaining for years about the collision-detection glitch with the horsey. The ‘clipping-through-pieces’ bug has been abused to death and the lazy devs refuse to fix it.

Don’t support this awful behaviour and boycott this company.

@nixCraft ah yes I love it when they forget the "P" in VPN

I'll add another one: Antivirus on Windows other than Defender. Any article or research that claims otherwise is funded by third party antivirus vendors
