I’ve been saying “semantic satiation” over and over to the point where it’s just lost all meaning to me.

A web browser is one of the pieces of software I least want to be doing random inexplicable actions allegedly on my behalf. This idea that a web browser should be an autonomous agent doing stuff for you has only ever been a niche concept and I think it’s deeply incorrect to suggest this is what anything but a very narrow group of people have ever intended. Suggesting otherwise might fit the current spicy autocorrect craze but this is not a justification to put fundamentally untrustworthy technology at the heart of what needs to be one of the most trustworthy applications users have. People put significant fractions of their lives through browsers and it is extremely reckless to slap on a lies generator. We have enough issues with tracking and security as it is.
