We've published mcci-claude-container, a lightweight Docker setup for running Claude Code with egress firewall isolation.

It's based on Anthropic's devcontainer approach but stripped down — no VS Code coupling, just iptables rules that whitelist essential domains (GitHub, npm, Anthropic API) and block everything else.

Per-project isolation, UID/GID alignment so file permissions work, and you can add custom domains as needed.

Default-deny iptables rules whitelist only essential domains (GitHub, npm, Anthropic API). Per-project isolation with UID/GID alignment. Enables safe --dangerously-skip-permissions usage without the heavyweight devcontainer tooling.

Congratulations to MCCI for its implementation of LoRaWAN in an Arduino environment!

If anyone wants to know more about a distributed low-power, long-range IoT protocol, see https://lora-alliance.org/about-lorawan/

I took over maintenance in 2020 or so, and got it to pass certification tests. Version 5 adds contributed support for the newer Semtech radios (SX1261 and SX1262) and fixes some longer-standing annoying issues.

My work on this was supported by @mcci and the volunteers at @thethingsnyc / https://thethings.nyc and The Things Network Ithaca https://ttni.tech.

This weekend I finally got around to releasing v5.0.0 of the Arduino LMIC (https://github.com/mcci-catena/arduino-lmic). This is an independent very lightweight implementation of the basic LoRaWAN protocol, originally done by IBM Zurich, then curated for many years by Matthijs Kooijman. 1/

Interesting to see that #Unabiz (owner of #Sigfox) is bringing #MIOTY LPWAN into their #IoT mix via Loriot. They now have Sigfox, #LoRaWAN (via #TheThingsIndustries), MIOTY... and they're working on NB-IOT. Obviously going after large scale enterprise sales, will be interesting to see how they work with solution providers.

Unabiz signs with LORIOT to add MIOTY to hybrid Sigfox-LoRaWAN fold

Unabiz's pursuit of a total LPWAN mashup continues via a new deal with Swiss outfit LORIOT to add MIOTY to its roster of hybrid Sigfox and LoRaWAN solutions.
