Thinking about a foldable 20.5” iPad/laptop, what aspect ratio would the display be?

Let’s say it’s a 16:10 display — fold it and you get two 14” 4:5 displays. That’s a nice size, but the aspect ratios are flipped from what Apple typically does for laptops/tablets.

So let’s say it’s a 4:5 display — it would fold to make two 15.1” 16:10 displays. This seems most likely to me — fits right in with the MacBook Pro lineup, and has the best ratio as both a tablet and a laptop ✨

What happens when you put The Beatles back into the Easy Listening Cover of The Beatles?

You get this. https://cabel.com/2023/01/31/easy-beatles/

TIL the WWW originally had a logo, and nothing else is better at expressing the naive academic techno-optimism from the 1990s than a design that looks hand-coded in PostScript and that slogan at the top.
Made a guide for remote guests to record their end of the interview using their smartphone, which involved making this incredibly not-to-scale diagram
I know, I know, but it’s still funny to me.
@mcbramhill @mathowie Whenever I see worries about how Dall•e and CG are going to make trouble by creating invented images of celebrities, I remember that people gladly ate up poorly inked photos of Stalin and the dumbest photoshops of the 2000s. Trust structures are far more important than image fidelity.

@things has set the standard for Shortcuts apps with its new actions built from the powerful capabilities Apple added in iOS 16.

Every app should set their targets to this level of control and functionality – new users & pros alike will get so much out of rich Shortcuts ecosystems existing around their apps.

I have many thoughts (and shortcuts) coming, but this is the start of a whole new era for productivity and Shortcuts: https://mastodon.online/@things/109756815362123663

saw this banner outside of a Wendy's and it reminded of a motivational sign you'd probably see at Facebook HQ in Menlo Park alongside all the unlimited cereal decanters
