@things has set the standard for Shortcuts apps with its new actions built from the powerful capabilities Apple added in iOS 16.

Every app should set their targets to this level of control and functionality – new users & pros alike will get so much out of rich Shortcuts ecosystems existing around their apps.

I have many thoughts (and shortcuts) coming, but this is the start of a whole new era for productivity and Shortcuts: https://mastodon.online/@things/109756815362123663

@matthewcassinelli @things loving them so far. i have a shortcut that i run daily and i have a daily recurring task to remind it.

added the new actions to find my daily task and complete it when i run my shortcut.

so much potential.

@matthewcassinelli @things The gallery from Things was pretty nice. I like the prepare for event one
@matthewcassinelli Thanks for the testing and feedback, Matthew! 💙

@things All the projects that I added and can update using the actions thank you too, I am super behind on sharing all my shortcuts and this is already helping me a lot.

I’m probably going to benefit from this more than anyone and I’m only just getting started – thank you so much! 🙏

@matthewcassinelli I was actually wondering if you built the actions in this gallery for them (just how much I associate you with awesome shortcuts). I’ve been using the beta for the last month or two after you tweeted about it. Huge unlock!
@manikrathee I may or may not have a complete GTD set almost done
@matthewcassinelli @things I’ve always wanted to get into using shortcuts.
@matthewcassinelli @things I thought I saw a shortcut for Things that took any entry with FWD (from Mail to Things) to be assigned/reformatted. Am I imagining that?
@luckie_reubs @matthewcassinelli Assume you’re referring to the Run Inbox Rule shortcut here: https://culturedcode.com/things/support/articles/2955145/
