Farewell Mastodon, I leave you with this.

Looking forward to #winter and some fun in the snow!

@timo21 @pluralistic With the exception of the actually insane cultists, I've found that a remarkable number of right-wing people are closer to leftists than MAGA politicans in ideals.

You can generally get them started pretty quickly on a rant about fair prices, local stores being better than megachains, and billionaires needing to be taxed.

@timo21 @pluralistic Something we can all agree on

Sitting here, trying to get the defunct Adobe Digital Editions to work (which requires .net 2.0 sp2) so that I can read newly purchased DRM-locked #SolarPunk ebooks with my screenreader-accessible software and thinking...

Yes. This is truly the bright solar punk future. Having to rely on a long-obsolete proprietary tool in order to open digitally locked files that I paid actual money for.

@CindyWeinstein Nothing can characterize the level of political discourse and decorum of the office more than that video.
Really puts the "tan suit" and "spicy brown mustard" and "no tie" fake scandals into perspective.

#ScribesAndMakers 8, Why do you think some people don't see value in creativity?

I think quite a few (but by no means all) people are so buried in basic survival that they feel unable to take time to so much as enjoy a sunset. They probably feel resentful that people exist who can dedicate any time or energy to anything but survival.

There's a TON of interest in the US for a viable 3rd mobile solution.

Help folks by posting alternate app stores for android/ios, help them repair the devices they own, and *maybe* help people get a viable 3rd solution out here.

People have a lot of opinions about this *latest* Apple BS, but they sure are short on *solutions*

If, like me, your actual job requires you to use a smartphone-based tool for logins (no, SMS won't do), your city has smartphone-based parking meters, your bank only accepts smartphone-based deposits, and because you live in the US, you can't even *buy* some of the cool european phones...

There's not much else you can *do* about it.
So hey, here's an idea, maybe retire the high horse and help?

Preparing my novel ideas for #WritingMonth this year.

Still going to use https://writingmonth.org/ , unless there's a newer, better one out.

I've been challenged to write something other than a far future sci-fi space fantasy this time... so I'm planning something very different.
