Casey Reeves (it/its)@gregarious My heck. I'm glad I didn't try to come back to the GUI after quitting over a year ago. I mean I keep seeing people saying it improves, and then, I see your sort of post and I'm like, improved, eh? I like using linux, of course. But even the pure tty alone is a challenge these days, and no, not because of systemd like some folks seem to think, but the way the entire audio stack of linux was designed conflicts with our usage. But if I wasn't a power user? I wouldn't even bother with linux.
