@mcc I don't think they're the same. If I remember correctly, tet is "useful" ratios so that the harmonic structure remains the same from octave to octave.
Edo is used to divide any octave equally using a logarithmic scale to adjust for frequency density from lower octave to higher octave. This doesn't produce consistency in harmonic sound from octave to octave, but produces interesting consonance within an octave.
