Nottingham Light Night. Such a good idea, pulling thousands of families into the city centre on a damp February night.

Gonna miss this stuff, as can't imagine it will survive Michael Gove's improvement board & commissioners salting the earth to try and help Ben Bradley win the mayoral election.

It's a great walk, although if you don't like a scramble I'd skirt around Parkhouse (it won't really add any extra distance):

SK090670 With the church on the left exit the village south-easterly. Fork left at a road junction before a duck pond.

Saw some some great archaeology en route, including Fox Hole Cave just below the top of High Wheeldon (scheduled for its Late Upper Palaeolithic remains):

My employer gave everyone in the organisation a mental health day in January, so used mine for a wander / scramble up Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Hill in the Peak District
