The Telegraph headline would have you believe an alternate turn of events - in this case the car driver had already reversed back and then decided to accelerate into the bike on the wrong side of the road. It must be the Cyclist's fault though 🤷

Surface rust on the front wheel rotors. Not just lack of journeys but because the motor is doing the majority of the deceleration (and that only from 20 mph) those rotors are feeling neglected. I’ll have to get B to drive more aggressively.

Sunak's anti- 'war on motorists' policy is, of course, very depressing for those hoping for safer streets and greener and more varied transport choices (I'll set the fact that it's counter productive on its own stated terms to one side for now). I'm all for the #WarOnMotorists. I will happily serve in the front lines of the Rotundheads when we finally put drivers to the blade.

I just don't think Sunak should be acting out a fantasy in which some mildly intrusive local governance that actually makes life easier, safer, and healthier for pretty much everyone amounts to the war having started.

BBC Radio4 News just reported a “30% surge” in UK parking fines last year compared to 2020. No context given, so rather implied some sort of #WarOnMotorists. There cannot be any other reason 2020 was lower? Surely?
