@wordswithnima I follow way more than I can actively follow/read but my favorites, the ones I actually get around to more often than *never*, are interesting miscellany (Kottke, Austin Kleon, The Marginalian) and poem-of-the-day types.
I'm also a big fan of Joe Posnanski's "JoeBlogs", Diana Butler Bass's "The Cottage", and Richard Rohr's daily meditations.
Can't say I manage to read all of those every time, but they have a better shot with me than most.
I still miss del.icio.us.
Like, I *really* miss it.
I still collect bookmarks reflexively, and I just don't know what to do with them; they just pile up in random places and periodically make me think about starting a blog or something to share them.
I won't, but I kinda want to.
Not sure I have a point, here. Just saying.
Friendly reminder: getting COVID can suuuck. I'm about 4 days in, and tomorrow looks to be the first day I seriously entertain returning to my remote job. Haven't been knocked out like this in a *very* long time (for reference, I've got Crohn's disease & have been knocked out my share of times). 0/10 would not recommend
Stay safe out there, friends. And take care of & for each other.
@425suzanne Oh boy, do I feel this. Time was, a new social network popping up would get me all "woohoo! let's do this!" but now my reaction is more "ugh, I've gotta rebuild AGAIN?"
I don't know how to get around that feeling, and I know none of this is helpful, but you are definitely not alone.
