With the Vision Pro getting the dual headband now I just wish they'd fully commit and make a Vision Pro Hat

Now that the window limit has gone up from the four in Stage Manager in iPadOS 18, I can upload videos to YouTube from my iPad and not worry about Safari being kicked out.

I just started an uploaded. Then opened Obsidian, Preview, Music, and Todoist. My upload just kept going in the background. 🥳

OmniFocus on the iPad Pro is one of the few examples of an actual desktop-class productivity app on this tablet. And it’s a bloody good example. It’s just in a rarified class.
@jsnell Jason, what are your thoughts after living with the Kobo libra colour for a bit? Does it seem much faster loading pages than the Libra 2? Do you get used to the reduced contrast? I’m thinking of upgrading but actually don’t care too much about color (although it could be fun).

A feature I want out of every video player that allows you to take a video full screen that no video players have: assuming the video’s aspect ratio doesn’t perfectly match the display, let me move the video within the empty area of the display. That is, let me nudge the video up from being vertically centered, or even let me pin the video to the top of the display.

Why? Because if I’m in bed or in a constrained seat, sometimes it’s physically easier to look higher up on the display.

It’s not a free country. That’s been made abundantly clear. I won’t stand for it.

don’t let the failures of some (major) news outlets disillusion you with media as a whole. and ESPECIALLY don’t let those failures desensitize you to attacks on free expression.

we can criticize media failures while also fiercely defending media freedom.

The Kindle Paperwhite (left) and Colorsoft (right). The world of ebook readers is in a weird place, but when hasn’t it been? E-readers have always been a strange product niche, not just since…
