C'est peut-être le moment d'entamer une réflexion sur la consommation de kérozène, taxé nulle part dans le monde ?

Apparently I made a small desktop app to list, check and migrate your Github repositories to Codeberg, and I migrated it itself to Codeberg from Github:

https://codeberg.org/pierstoval/codeberg-migrate

The "New Migration" feature in Codeberg is fine, but it's even better when you can monitor it :D

@thibaultmol these might very well be an Optimistic Update: the system knows it’s you, recognises that you’re using your regular bank card and you have an excellent history of payments? No need to wait for the confirmation from the bank, it will most probably arrive within a couple of seconds. So let’s print your receipt now. If ever there was a issue with the bank they will retry a couple of minutes later or tonight
@phare I've just discovered your services. Do you plan to develop a mobile app? SMS and integrations with Ntfy and Pushover are a first step but a dedicated app would be even better

Palantir CEO Makes Shocking Confession on Disrupting Democratic Power

https://newrepublic.com/post/207693/palantir-ceo-karp-disrupting-democratic-power

Palantir CEO Alex Karp thinks his AI technology will lessen the power of “highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat” while increasing the power of working-class men.

They’re saying the quiet part out loud now.

@thibaultmol from their FAQ, they seem to be a meta search engine, ie using results from other search engines and then filtering and maybe reordering. Currently based on results from Mojeek, Marginalia, EUSP (Ecosia/Qwant), Linkup, and Serper

Use Snowflake to give censorship the slip in places where Internet is blocked.

Snowflake allows you to connect to the Tor network in places where Tor is blocked by routing your connection through volunteer proxies located in uncensored countries.

Similar to VPNs, which help users bypass Internet censorship, Snowflake disguises your Internet activity as though you’re making a video or voice call, making you less detectable to Internet censors.

Investigating my daughter's Chromebook, I found that Chrome by default sends your ENTIRE browsing history to Google, all sites, everywhere on the web. (If you're signed in I guess, which you always are on a Chromebook.) This is something you can turn off by visiting https://myactivity.google.com/activitycontrols. How many people know about this? I stopped using Chrome myself a long time ago. It's no wonder the Google advertising machine is so effective. #google #chrome #surveillance

@dolanor Gandi has raised their prices several times since 2022. They seem to be refocusing on large corporations. Scaleway is — so far — my preferred alternative where I’ve migrated most of my clients domains with success, and more and more VMs as well. Reasonable pricing + nice interfaces ( web, CLI, and http )
