Fedi Valverde is laying a claim to one of the best individual halves of football in history here. Amazing. #RMAMCI
A highly personal take on AI: my business analysis and QA skills are back in demand.

Equality: Easy to define, easy to sustain, often not completely fair.

Equity: Harder to define, even harder to sustain, potentially fairer but highly contested.

The trouble is that an agreement on equity requires a shared analysis of power — which is both hard to come by and will never be stable. I suppose that’s why it’s called “struggle”.

The split-screen ads during Six Nations play are extremely annoying. Really off-putting.

ITV in-game Six Nations ads will keep sport free-to-air, experts say

ITV’s introduction of advertising during matches at the Six Nations is a sign of things to come but will keep more sport on free-to-air TV.

@GreenRupertRead Adaptation has a chance at popular assent because it doesn’t necessarily require a wholesale change in the goals of the game. You marshal capital for the scale of the adaptation needed with a more muscular state and private incentives. That buys time for the next stage that must happen, which is a negotiation and position on truly sustainable societies. It’s a highwire act. I’m glad you and Caroline are working on this. Thanks for your efforts.
What breaks my heart about LLMs is that when I teach it something about coding, I’m not teaching a person. And the LLM is going to fucking forget anyway.
Nintendo Switch Sports golf is a real gem playing online. Although having real golf technique won’t help you none, really.
@Talia @carnage4life Not necessarily. Growth could stop for some other reason, while AI push it up to continue a historical trend — dynamically stable, rather than making no difference. I’m not saying that’s what I believe, just that it’s a possibility.

A close family member died recently. If I wanted experiential proof that every customer touchpoint is an opportunity for loyalty, dealing with a bereavement provides it.

Gold stars for Starling Bank, American Express, Hastings Direct. Terrible experiences with Barclays Bank, Zopa Bank, E.ON Energy, Post Office Insurance.

When exactly did we start to think that the point of humans was to be productive, instead of thinking that the point of productivity was to take care of humans?
