These daffodils are all dried up and when you are up close, they look like they should be part of a painting. They have aged well. I’m keeping them a tad bit longer.
This sunflower plate is definitely growing on me. The texture is perfect and the colors are striking. I initially wanted a yellow sunflower with orange accents, but got the opposite. Clearly, the order of the glaze application is the reason I got this color. That being said, I am now loving it. Before I attempted this project, I had never heard of a rocking planter before. Our assignment was to create one with a sgraffito project in mind. I did a simple sgraffito and decided to play with glaze as well. Let’s just say I did it my way. My goal was to play with glaze that was going to give me a drippy effect. I would have loved a more dramatic effect with more drip lines, but for a first attempt, I like it. I will try to figure out what I could have done better. 2 x Light Flux under 2 x Celadon Rainforest glazes. #pottery#ceramics#rockingplanter#potterlife#noviepotter#sgraffito#potter#glazes
