Today I’m timekeeping at Chasewater #parkrun, and currently debating running there or driving there and running later.
Both good options, but first coffee.

I'm a parkrun enthusiast who occasionally runs further than 5K.
About 400 runners timed, Chai Latte drank, cake eaten.
Just need to work on the going for a run bit later this evening.
@Sally_Bridge our juniors has been off over Christmas, but I’m very much looking forward to getting back there next Sunday.
My first train was cancelled, and the second train of the day was delayed by just enough to stop me making the connection.
So after waiting an hour a Birmingham New Street I’ve hatched a new plan.
Thinking of visiting my alma mater’s #parkrun tomorrow; but it will involve a 70 mile train journey so we will see what other plans the fates have.

Yesterday I was timekeeping at Walsall Arboretum #parkrun, it was my 200th time #parkrunvolunteering, and my 50th time timekeeping.
Timekeeping is one of my favourite volunteer roles because you just get to be antisocial, just standing around playing on your phone.
I was using my own self-hosted mastodon instance as [email protected] but I don't have the patience to keep it running, so I'm back on mastodon.social for now.

My local juniors averages around 50, and we had 41 this morning.
