@chucker Great show, can definitely get your emotions running, though.
@zoocoup ah. Well, there’s another solution to that 😜
@zoocoup that kind of exists, though. If you’re using conditional access to your services, you can enforce biometrics as a factor. Also, if a user is signed in with a work and personal Apple Account, you get some greater control.
@zoocoup You know the rule…file feedback…and then ping one of your friends at Apple about it.
The MacBook Neo is such an interesting machine that it coaxed a thousand-word-essay out of me: https://samhenri.gold/blog/20260312-this-is-not-the-computer-for-you/

Meetings That Dont Suck :: Radiotope — Some thoughts on (mostly) technology

Updated: 2021-10-17 Let’s start at the beginning: most business meetings suck. They’re too long and ramble-y, and at the end, you wonder what you got out of it. I have a bit of a formula for changing this, but “change” is the key word here: your entire organization will need to understand that their culture of meetings needs to be updated. Once you’re there, it all falls into place, and anyone not following the “good meeting” path will be called out on it.

Yeah, great:

How many of these have we done now? Always positive results. When do we stop making these an “experiment” or “study” and put this into action?

An experiment doled out money to homeless people in Denver, no strings attached. Here’s what happened.

The percentage of people who had housing at the 10-month check-in of the Denver Basic Income Project climbed to 45%.

I see a bunch of people talking about testing web sites on less-than-ideal networks. If you're developing/testing on macOS and don't want to take a trip to Antarctica to test, download, "Additional Tools for Xcode..." from the Apple developer site, which contains the Network Link Conditioner pref pane. This will allow you to simulate poor network conditions (like slow, and/or lossy). Don't get caught by surprise: test your sites!

This has turned out to be my favorite reading in quite some time. Wonderful if you’re into old architectures (6502), but also something to always keep in mind with regards to optimization.
