Why is there always some chucklefuck executive who thinks we can get Apple to do something special for us when it comes to device management?
@zoocoup up there with thinking you can get a discount from Apple.
@zoocoup
This is where I get out the whiteboard and show how Apple sold more iPhones in the last hour than we bought in a year. Or years.
@zoocoup You know the rule…file feedback…and then ping one of your friends at Apple about it.
@marczak Not needed in this case. It's someone expecting something that doesn't exist (enforce biometric on BYOD)
@zoocoup that kind of exists, though. If you’re using conditional access to your services, you can enforce biometrics as a factor. Also, if a user is signed in with a work and personal Apple Account, you get some greater control.
@marczak No, this is more brute force than that. “I want us to force everyone to use Face or TouchID on their phone” not just logging into Okta or corporate resources. They are afraid that new “passwordless” methods we are switching too will make it too easy for “a kid or spouse to access company data”
@zoocoup ah. Well, there’s another solution to that 😜
@marczak Yes, corporate owned is being considered again.
