@noiseician My favorite SP album!

Today is the final film of the 5th annual #BleakWeek film festival @ the Trylon Cinema in #Minneapolis.

With Elem Klimov's 1985 anti-war film epic, Come and See.

This the first time I've attended all seven films,. I think after today, I'm going to crawl into bed and sleep for 100 years.

Films this year -

Zodiac
The Tribe
Testament
The Life of Oharu (35mm )
The Cremator
Sátántangó (freaking 8 hours!)
Come and See

I started to feel a little too good about myself.

Fixing that right quick.

@bryanredeagle D-Spot in Oakdale is the way.

on the 6th anniversary of the murder of George Floyd in #minneapolis, here is a reminder that the definitive history of the uprising was captured on video by @UnicornRiot in their documentary series.

If you or a loved one are still buying such myths as "out of town right wing agitators caused the destruction!", "rioters just took advantage of peaceful protests!", or "the city council abolished the police!", then watch what actually happened:

George Floyd Uprising - Reporter Reflection Documentary & Series - UNICORN RIOT

Unicorn Riot's exclusive Reporter Reflection series bringing front line perspectives from the historic George Floyd uprising in Minneapolis.

UNICORN RIOT
Lowery Bridge over the Mississippi River in NE #MInneapolis
Spending the morning at the #Heron Rookery in NE #Minneapolis.

I went to a show for the first time this year since, well everything.

It was really nice seeing the kids are still throwing themselves into each other with shere abdnon.

It's important to remember that it's okay to take time out for yourself to enjoy things, even while still in the thick of of itall.

@mauro I also love this record. It's like a survived artificat from an old church that had burnded down deep in forgotten woods from a lost time.

Zines get me out of the house. They force me to bring my writing to people. Writing then becomes a social activity through the sharing of it. My online newsletter/website is great, but we're still all separated by pixels.

With zines, I have so much more opportunity to meet with people, new acquaintances and old friends. I'm even becoming more familiar with more people running bookstores, which is cool.
