Some might have previously thought #ElonMusk is only hostile towards those Twitter users who aren't paying for the service. This #Tesla #Dieselgate and the "diversion team" that was set up for purely with the intent of misleading and punishing customers who had bought a Tesla car luckily proves that you can't just throw ๐Ÿ’ธ at Musk to get the psychopath billionaire to care about you.

People worry about Biden getting to 80. But I want to talk about Trump's 74.

As in felony counts. 74 felony counts, and more to come.

When you don't moderate social media it turns from a *bulletin board* into a *bathroom wall* pretty quickly, complete with the malodor.

Twitter, Nostr, and every other libertarian free speech wet dream platform seem determined to demonstrate this over and over again.

This piece by @pluralistic on Musk and his repeated, egregious, lying is great. Sadly those that worship him will try to find the tiniest of holes in the cited work and reject the whole thing. And those of us who already agree will nod.

My daughter, who has had a degree in computer science for 25 years, posted this observation about ChatGPT on Facebook. It's the best description I've seen:
Mastodon is great, the only thing I miss on this app is quote posts. I know they have a bad rap bc of Twitter, but every major social network has this functionality for a reason (Tumblr, LinkedIn, Facebook, IG). As a journalist, Iโ€™d love to add commentary and amplify great info, build on pplโ€™s points, etc. You just canโ€™t do that the same wait with replies! Is there any chance we might get them on here?

The situation at the Texas border continues to be deeply alarming. Governor Greg Abbott's inhumane measures, targeting innocent migrants, demand immediate attention. We cannot stand idly by while razor wire traps, water withholding, and dangerous pushbacks endanger vulnerable lives, including children and infants.

This must end.

Join me in demanding that President Biden step in and put an end to these cruel tactics. Let's make our voices heard: https://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/806/513/820/?TAP=2430&source_id=TexasMigrants

Sign Petition: Demand The Biden Administration End Inhumane Practices Against Migrants In Texas

Dear Friends, Advocates and Activists, A leaked e-mail from a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper documents the remarkably (22736 signatures on petition)

One week ago, a court in California ruled that employers cannot be sued for spreading COVID to their workers due to lack of protections.

This week, In-N-Out banned their employees from wearing masks.

This is horrible.

Are temperatures this summer hotter than scientists expected?

Read the link.

( and if you are tl;dr - No, they are almost exactly as expected. And given that, future is looking bleak if we don't get the emissions under control.)
