How do I select a hashtag in a toot when TalkBack is enabled on Android?
TalkBack just reads the whole text.

I’ve written an open letter asking organisations that engage online with the blind community to come to Mastodon in light of the significant #accessibility regressions at Twitter.
If you agree, please sign it and share it as widely as you can. This is one occasion where if we can show how many of us care about this issue, it will make it clear that it’s worth companies putting in the effort to be here.

On the off chance this dataset already exists, I'm looking for a public resource of comic books with panel descriptions.

I'm working on a side project for making comic books more accessible for the visual impaired by adding panel description. I hope to fine tune an existing model like the Salesforces/blip2.

Alan Turing was a mathematician & cryptographer who was a leading code-breaker in the team that decrypted Nazi Germany’s Enigma machine during WWII. He inspired modern computing & what became AI.

Instead of being hailed as a genius & hero, Turing was convicted as a homosexual & forced to endure chemical castration. He died by suicide at 41 in 1954.

The British government didn’t apologize until 2009 & Queen Elizabeth II finally pardoned him in 2013. #history #science #HistoryRemix
