Gentle exploratory run to see how “bad” things are. They’re bad.

Did 4 running intervals based on feel (about 600-800 meters each), alternated with walking. My first ever attempt at plyometrics, as I want to incorporate that too (lots to learn here).

First goal is not speed, but to build a volume running base that my body can tolerate.

Will get better running shoes next Saturday.

on 2016-11-07 i was inspired to create this pair of diagrams, and posted them to my then twitter account. the tweet is long gone, but they must have struck a chord with some people, because the diagrams have long outlived it! i guess they're as relevant today as they were then.

Cars are tolerated in these streets, but should drive slowly and patiently behind cyclists.

I'm going to pick up running again!

I've also decided to quit powerlifting for now, as it takes too much time.

I'm going to scale back to 3x per week strength training, and investing more time in improving my cardio capabilities.

This week, I'm not writing a to-do list, but a wishlist. That's a more fitting name for the list in my current state of being.
Woah, the wind blowing into my office is so nice and refreshing!
Once more, I lay awake for hours, only thinking horrible things. This makes laying awake extra awful :(
Had a great 48km cycle with Oliver. We managed to dodge most of the rain even!
