"registrations are closed because unlimited growth is not sustainable and octodon is already pretty big, but members can share invites. "

@ardgedee He hombre. I am looking to migrate over to your instance, but it seems it is by invite only. Is it something you can extend to me (not sure if it has to come from an admin). I want the syntax stuff but just been reading up on instances that are blocking Meta/Threads and Octodon already is. So I am ready to jump ship (if there is anything you can do).

People who want to move to a new instance which won't be federating with Threads, this list might be useful:

You'll also want to make sure that your instance has activated an option called Authorized Fetch. This (if I understand correctly) is needed to ensure that someone boosting a post of yours doesn't "indirectly" connect that post over to a blocked instance.

So I do this experiment every 6 months where I put photo paper in a can with a tiny hole to record the sun light… Well, this year's #solargraphy didn't quite work out as planned — paper got wet, not enough light, … but there is some beauty to the imperfection as well.
