Thanks to everyone who's stepping up to write alt text for their images. It's making my social media experience a so much richer way of being happily unproductive.

Unlikely, but does anyone know if there's a way to block posts that have images with no alt text? It's not just that they're usually pointless for me as a blind person, but also I'm pretty sure that my screen reader is not telling me there's an image, so many posts leave me simply confused, not even knowing for sure that I'm missing something in an image. Maybe the text is just an obscure zen cohen or something. This increased cognitive load is disturbing what should be a mindless experience.

I'm a performance engineer by profession and a note-taking YouTuber by hobby: I spend a lot of time optimising productivity, whether my own or that of a system. Sometimes, the drive to min/max comes at a cost, and it's something I think should be talked about more.
