Yesterday, the Dover City Council approved moving forward with solar array projects at the Ice Arena, North End Fire Station, Bouchard Public Works Facility, and French Cross Water Treatment Facility.
Along with a solar array project at the McConnell Center, to be voted on later this month, these 5 projects would save the City an estimated $1.7M over the next 25 years and move us towards our goal of operating on 100% renewable energy by 2035.
Last night, after 7 weeks of deliberation on a 850+ page proposal, the Dover City Council unanimously voted to approve the $227M budget that came in $140K under the property tax cap after passing an amendment that adjusted 15 line items achieved by consensus.
Thank you all who came out to vote in today's election! More voters turned out to vote today than in any prior Dover municipal election on record.

Yesterday the Foster's Daily Democrat publicized the responses to their 2025 Dover candidate questionnaire. Democracy thrives when the electorate consists of informed voters. I encourage you to check out all the individuals on your ballot.
