This is a massive problem. I've seen the effects of the 'meat lobbying', at this point I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out they have been funding a massive astroturfing campaign. Any time an article is posted on e.g. reddit that says 'maybe meat is bad for your health or the environment, try eat less?' there is a neverending stream of pro-meat replies. A lot border on insanity.
