for the "does it unlock remotely" crowd: no, and thats intentional. monitor only means theres no actuator to hack. you get the peace of mind notification without adding a remote attack surface to your front door.
for the "will it work with X" crowd: if X has a matter controller with thread border router support (apple tv 4k, homepod mini, nest hub, echo 4th gen, skyconnect) then yes. pairs as a door lock plus contact sensor on one device, shows up natively in home assistant too.
