I'm routinely blown away by the level that the open source 3D printing community has gone into to improve print quality. From pressure advance to input shaping (where you just casually put an accelerometer onto the print head to work out the resonant frequencies). There are some bonkers smart people in this field, it's amazing!
3rd times the charm, ended up printing it in one go with supports, rather than keeping the rails separate. Otherwise it's too hard to build up the cross braces. Next up supports!
#3dprinting #rollercoastersAfter playing RCT again I'm trying to see if I can 3D print some select parts of real roller coasters I like. I will say the modeling is currently kicking my ass, but we'll see how well this prints. No idea how I'm going to do the trains yet.
