My Happily Made monkeys are helping me celebrate Wear It Purple Day 2025 💜 This year's theme is Bold Voices, Bright Futures. Our LGBTQIA+ young people have so much ahead of them if we create a society that includes and supports them.

This is how out-of-control my collecting of crochet, knit, and plush friends has become! The rest of the collection has filled capacity elsewhere in my home. A few more friends can squish into one remaining shelf here. Each one brings me such delight.

They are organised into groups as much as possible, given their size, e.g., food, dinosaurs, octopi, bees, turtles, birds, frogs, cats, dogs, axolotls, chameleons, bees, wombats, snails, & rabbits.

The weather in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia) has been rather cold and wet recently. However, my custom #crochet #frog (by Michelle of funkcrochet on Etsy) is perfectly outfitted to head out for some puddle-jumping! Thank you to my friends & family for my birthday gifts 💜💚

Life is tough. Assembling a care team, supports, & housing is impossible, and whatever is in place regularly falls apart or is sabotaged (#NDIS).

But my beautiful chosen family & friends know that they can create ongoing joy & companionship for me with little crochet creatures.

This Watermelon Frutasaur from @GoldsmithsCrochetHub on Etsy is an Easter gift that lasts a lot longer than chocolate!

It has delightfully brightened up a small, dull hotel room I am stranded in.

In honour of Bisexual Visibility Week 2023, please enjoy my little bisexual flag crochet bee made by Fern of CraftyLilCreatures.

My newest crochet/knit companion is this cheerful rainbow baby sloth from Happily Made.

I have not yet been able to organise my fridge monkeys since moving house, as I am still getting a token amount of support work hours. So rainbow baby sloth has just been plonked on top.

I rather like the riot of colour. If you look closely you can see the little rainbow magnetic monkey above the sloth. My 'pride' pair 🌈

Untypical - How the World Isn't Build For Autistic People and What We Should All Do About It. By Pete Wharmby

I finally got to read Untypical and see my rage expressed clearly & engagingly, with solutions presented to the reader. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was so affirming to read about our daily autistic struggles simply existing in this world, and I had lightbulb moments.

I want friends, family, everyone in fields of care, education, services, support, to PLEASE read books like this.

I am so delighted by my Xmas gift from my brother and sister-in-law: a Flying Spaghetti Monster cushion!

My brother and I introduced our father to the Flying Spaghetti Monster a decade ago, and ever since the ideas of the Church of the FSM have allowed us to share a lot of fun. My father actually signed up as a member of the Church and I gave him a crocheted FSM one Father's Day.

I have become homeless thanks to the NDIA and greedy landlords. I have funding for four weeks' accommodation in a hotel.

I don't have a tree but I have decorated the fridge with my Happily Made Santa magnetic monkeys, now with added Caspian sea Xmas sweaters, and a Caspian sea heart.

It adds so much colour and fun to the place, and I can giggle at the sweaters.
