@flexghost My submission:

Dear #NPR,

[...] In your goodbye message you pointed your followers to other commercial social media. While that is fine, I would exhort you to also consider opening your presence in the Fediverse. Given the character of your service, a Mastodon instance would possibly suit you best. Please reach out to the community, plenty of good people willing to help you in that endeavour. And plenty more waiting to follow you in a truly free and open social network.

Best.

#NPR left the #birdsite! Consider recommending, via their contact site, they move to #mastodon :-)

🔥🔥🔥 #NPR is quitting the #Birdsite. Perchance they’ll set up shop here? I suggested they do exactly that on their website Contact Us form —https://help.npr.org/contact/s/ — several days ago. If others do the same, maybe they’ll listen.

@ATsypes Thanks for the follow! 🙂
NPR quits Twitter. Good. Now it’s time for every actual government account to cut the bird cord. There needs to be a social.gov server where federal accounts can post news and alerts without supporting an increasingly abusive misinformation company.

NPR quits Twitter after being falsely labeled as 'state-affiliated media' — NPR

NPR's official Twitter feeds have gone silent. The news organization cites the social media platform's decision to question NPR's editorial independence through a series of inaccurate labels.
